Dawn is Breaking

Dawn is breaking, misty grey

With a tinge of silver streaks

A ball of fire begins to rise

Across the mountain peaks.

~

The ball of fire begins to spread

All across the way

A touch of warmth begins to make

A glorious summers day.

Author – me

Date – uncertain but I remember it being proudly displayed on the wall in my primary school so I’d guess I was about 8 or 9.

Wishing everyone out there a glorious summers day, although where we’re heading is forecast heavy rain and thunder storms but hey ho.  I know I’ve been missing in action but thanks for dropping by, and please feel free to leave me a comment.

PS, this is the very first publication of my favourite little poem (apart from all those years ago) lol.

That ball of fire is hiding today despite all the forecasts saying it will be 23 degrees! Lovely poem, thanks for sharing.
