One of the teachers asked me how long it had taken Grumpy to get ready, much to dd’s dismay I said “2 hours for the eyelashes – 10 minutes for the rest”. Ok, it was a slight exaggeration BUT, I have threatened to emigrate if she wants to wear false eyelashes when she gets married – next time she’s on her own. I suppose nerves played their part but during the ‘application’ she was pure evil. The first eye had gone smoothly but the second was a nightmare. Gone was the calmness that had existed, gone was the spare 30 minutes I’d built in for a photo shoot (especially planned to tie-in with module 1 for CJ’s Advanced Artistry), all replaced with pure stress. Not helped by the limo turning up 15 minutes early it has to be said.
We did manage a few shots before she sped on her way and then more were taken at the main pick up point and again at the hotel after their tour of the town in the gorgeous cream baby Bentley. I won’t bore you forever with photos but for today here are my favourites.
If you’ve got this far down, thank you for visiting, thank you for indulging me and please feel free to leave a comment.

My daughter spent a fortune on false eyelashes until she discovered 'permanent' fakes. A lady nearby puts individual fake lashes onto your own lashes and they stay on for about a month.
Have you say that 'grumpy' looks absolutely beautiful and that dress is such a gorgeous colour!
fabulous photos - I would never have guessed there was any stress involved - love that last one especially
Grumpy looks gorgeous in that dress, what a beautiful shade of blue :) you can't tell from the photos that there was any sort of stress before the do!
I'd say those eyelashes were almost worth it!
I don't have that problem as I only have boys-Your post has really made me smile and I think she looks absolutley gorgeous :-)
She looks absolutely stunning - and cool as a cucumber too! Whatever you did obviously worked :)
Love, love, love the dress..and Grumpy doesn't look at all grumpy!
I think I tried falsies once and that was enough for me! She looks gorgeous! Beautiful shots :)
She looks beautiful - I hope she enjoyed herself.
Grujmpy is stunning, the dress gorgeous, the eyelashes perfect and hopefully the evening was magnificent.
She's absolutely gorgeous! Hope she had a wonderful time. And now I'm wondering where it is you live that all the girls still wear princess-style ball gowns to prom!?! Around here, the full skirts are out and it's all the more flowy, stretchy fabric - some crazy prints, and wide open backs! My prom pics are coming soon.
Grumpy is very beautiful Wendy, and the dress is fabulous! I hope she had a wonderful evening. I'm glad I'm not the only one way behind on BBfS! Thank you for visiting me.
WOW - your DD looks stunning - beautiful dress and top eyelashes!
